Silk ribbons and textiles can be washed. All Warm & Wild products are dyed with natural dyes, which means colours may vary if the pH changes or if chemical products are used to wash them. The best way to avoid discolouring and damaging the material is to hand wash your products using a neutral pH detergent.
After multiple washes or significant exposure to direct sunlight, the colour may fade. When naturally dyed ribbons are subject to a sudden change of pH, their reaction will be to change colour. Plant food, for example, will change the tone of the ribbon, so I recommend drying the bouquet stems before winding the ribbon around them.
Ribbons and textiles can also be ironed, but only at a low temperature. If you’d like to create a crinkle effect, you can apply water to the material and leave it to dry naturally in the form that you’re looking for.
